Required spacing
ASU standards provide for more white space than you may be used to, but when you follow the guidelines you will have good usability and also a nice-looking site.
- Page margins - 32px of clear space on either side of the content, between the content edge and edge of device window. This excepts banners and heroes.
- Spaces between sections - 96px of clear space top and bottom.
- If there is any visual separator between sections, such as a background color change or a horizontal rule, there must be 96px on either side of the separator.
- Column margins - 24px between columns. 16px for pages designed specifically for mobile devices.
