Update ASURA Trifold

The trifold is a publicity flyer that ASURA uses at events and to hand out to anyone who wants a printed overview of the organization. It is usually updated after the officers for the new year are announced.

Overview

The trifold is printed on the color laser printer that is in the ASURA workroom. There is typically a small supply of them available in the office, but if an event is coming up where they will be needed the office staff need to be notified with enough lead time to print the required number.

The Prime Times editor is responsible for updating the trifold each year and also for printing it. She uses Microsoft Publisher to lay it out.

The job could be done by someone else if that becomes necessary. There is a MS Word version of the 2020-21 trifold that could be used as a starting point, so that a volunteer would not have to be familiar with Microsoft Publisher in order to take on the task.

Update steps

Make sure you have administrative privileges on Wild Apricot. If you are not sure, just try logging in to Wild Apricot. If you see a button labeled "Admin view" in the upper right corner, you have Admin privileges.
Download the MS Publisher or MS Word version of the most recent trifold to your computer.

Make changes. Save as either ASURATriFold.docx or ASURATrifold.pub, depending on whether you are using Word or Publisher.
Ask the Chair of the Membership Committee and the ASURA President to review the document, and make changes as they suggest or request.
Save the document to your computer as a PDF file, naming it ASURATriFold.pdf.
Use the Update file feature of Wild Apricot to Update (not replace) both the Word/Publisher file and the PDF in the forms folder of Wild Apricot. See "Working with WA files" if you need instructions for doing this.
