Renewal confirmation notice
Since membership renewal donations are processed and recorded in the ASURA Operations account held by the ASU Foundation, the renewing member will receive a gift acknowledgment for the renewal amount from the Foundation.
When ASURA receives a renewal or a notice of renewal from the Foundation, it is recorded in the membership database. Wild Apricot automatically sends a renewal confirmation email, provided there is a valid email address on file.This notice should be reviewed before the start of each membership drive, and updated as needed.
To review and update the notice, you must have administrative privileges in Wild Apricot and be logged in and in the "Admin" rather than the "Public" view.
You can link directly to the confirmation email or you can navigate to it with Wild Apricot's Admin view:
- From the Members menu on the left, choose "Member emails".
- Choose the "Renewal confirmed" from the "Renewal notifications" column.
Notes on updating:
- To edit, click on the "Edit" button at the top of the page, then click in the text area, make your revisions, and click on the "Save" button at the top.
- Pay particular attention to the profile fields that are listed. If any database fields have been added or deleted, those changes should be made here. Fields are indicated by names enclosed in curly brackets, e.g., {ContactField_Last_Name}.
- To add a field, place your cursor where you want it to be, then choose "Macro" from the edit icons. This will bring up a list of available fields. Check the box(es) next to the one(s) you want, then click on "Insert Macro".
- When you make a change, you are asked whether you want to update all existing levels with this email template. You do -- we do not have different confirmation notices for different membership levels.
