Wild Apricot groups

Wild Apricot allows you to organize members into named member groups according to their interests or participation in committees.

How to create and update Wild Apricot groups

Wild Apricot facilitates designating a set of members as belonging to a named Group. ASURA has found Wild Apricot's Groups very useful; there are currently twenty defined groups.

Organizing members into member groups allows ASURA to:

  • Select groups to receive email blasts (including event announcements)
  • Control page access by member group
  • Restrict events by member group

Of these three uses, sending email to a select group is by far the most common use. All the Board meeting correspondence is handled with distribution lists composed of various Groups. These distribution lists need to be current which means the underlying Groups need to be up to date.

The material below explains how to create a new Group and how to update existing Groups.
